Tranquility Fountain

When we first saw this at an expo, we decided that this will be our giveaways for our principal sponsors. It's perfect for our Zen theme!

Last week, we went to TEN Craftings to order them. They raised the price to 20% more! It was supposed to include a "bayong" as its container, but since they ran out, they said that they'll replace it with a nice box. We settled for it not knowing how it would look like. After haggling a lot and ordering 16 of it, we didn't get much of a discount.

As we picked them up the following day, they didn't finish assembling it on the specified time. And the box? It was not what I expected. Nothing nice about it! I was disgusted with the supplier and I let them know how I felt. We were deceived!
Ended up spending a lot more than our budget because of the decorations.

Jayson's 31st

Today is Jayson's 31st bday. Happy birthday, bebe! Nothing new about getting old but something new for him since he hasn't celebrated his bday with his parents,...until now!

Spent the day at Greenhills buying DVD's. Instead of me giving him a gift, he gave me both of Alicia keys' CD.

Oh, and I also started putting ribbons on our souvenirs.

In case you're wondering how we looked like, this is us! Having a field day! Posted by Hello

Chop-chop

Finally, after 2 days, I finished decorating our souvenirs. It was truly a labor of love. I did it with my right index finger terribly swollen and slightly immobile. I figured, tying, twisting, and wrapping could be a good therapy for it. 50 chopsticks later, i can actually move it! What a nice way to hit two birds with one stone.

The finished product.

Frustrated

I'm on my 2nd blog and still can't figure out how to post a photo. How hard could it be?

Christmas 2004

It's Christmas Eve and I have nothing better to do. I kept myself busy decorating our souvenirs for the wedding. A sore index finger and 50 chopsticks later, my dad called me to eat our Noche Buena. Wow! We're having pizza? Well, who cares? I'm making the most out of this occassion, thinking that this is my last Christmas as a single gal. I wondered if I'd still be here in the country next year. I couldn't help but weep just thinking about leaving our home, my parents, my dog Basti and everyone else. For some, 3 people gathering around for Noche Buena seem lonely. But this is how it's always been for me. Imagine how next year would be...
